nON-COMMERCIAL bIOTOXIN SAMPLING

Non-Commercial Biotoxin sampling plays an important role to ensure that recreational harvesting of shellfish poses no risk of poisoning to the consumer. NZBSL undertakes water and flesh samples on behalf of MPI across Northland, Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Wellington and Christchurch.

bAT wiNG pASSILORA

Passiflora is a weed with a Total Control status in Auckland, meaning that it must be removed if found anywhere in the region.  The vine is fast growing, and rapidly spreads across tree canopy, blocking light to native trees and out-competing other native vines.  If Passiflora was allowed to spread it would have a devastating effect on our native forests.
