Be part of protecting New Zealand’s unique ecology and environment
Business is booming and we are thriving. We are looking for our next super stars to join our teams across Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. If you are a Project Coordinator, Project Manager, Ecological Restoration Specialist or Operations Manager you could be just what we are looking for.
New Zealand Biosecurity Services Limited (NZBSL) is part of the Omah Group and we are one of NZ’s top contractors providing biosecurity response services across NZ. We offer a range of biosecurity services from pre-border checks, to post border response, to native habitat restoration, all with the purpose of protecting NZ’s unique ecology. Our motto is Biodiversity through Biosecurity.
The Omah Group is a privately owned enterprise with companies across New Zealand covering industries such as civil construction, open space management, ecological restoration, biosecurity services, ecological consultancy and workplace training. In the past few years, our companies have been on a journey developing, implementing and executing on new project opportunities.
With NZBSL being a family-owned private business we value our team and the contributions they make to our company and to New Zealand’s environment. Our vibe has always been about collaboration and sharing ideas in a supportive team environment.
Growing our business
We are currently in another growth spurt and looking for those that share our love of the environment, possess impressive organisational and prioritising skills and who will bring their expertise and passion for the outcomes we are working towards.
NZBSL has a significant future and we want others to join us on that journey. We have opportunities for Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Operations Managers and Senior Biosecurity Operators across our depots in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland.
Our business is diverse and we run a range of projects that cover the life cycle of biosecurity. We send small teams to regional centres to respond to biosecurity outbreaks, we have people that focus on imported sea freight and help importers with the quarantine inspections. Clients also engage with us to partner with community groups to restore their local park as a native wilderness. We get the sites ready, help with planting, and maintain the area until it can take care of itself. Part of our core purpose is eradicating pest plants so that our NZ native flora can flourish.
Our team look out and support each other, love working with community and in the environment and who want a career pathway in a business that has an environmental purpose. If this sounds like the type of culture you wish to join and you are keen to learn the ropes, we can offer you a range of career paths, not only at NZBSL but across all our companies within the Omah Group.
